Art Basel 2023 - an event bringing together thousands of individuals who appreciate art worldwide and the leading global platform connecting collectors, galleries, and artists is taking place this week. On this occasion, we are pleased to announce our collaboration with Valuart and Italian artist Fabio Giampietro through the launch of "Eternal Nexus", an exclusive NFT on the Cardano blockchain.
To celebrate the drop on Friday, June 16th, the NoMa van will transform into an immersive room where it will be possible to experience the project "The Lift" by Fabio Giampietro from 1pm - 9pm, in front of Oslo Studios in Basel.
Giampietro’s project "The Lift" was first presented at the MEET in Milan in the spring of 2022 and now it is possible to experience it again inside NoMa. The work is a journey: the room transforms into an elevator that rises in the middle of a metropolis, accelerating until it catapults out of the skyscraper itself, beyond the city, and floats in space surrounded by strange creatures and characters that inhabit social networks, the world of video games, and the artist's own imagination.
"Eternal Nexus offers an immersive portrayal of a realm that mirrors Earth, wherein continents ingeniously transmute into intertwined cityscapes, a direct manifestation of human endeavors. Viewed through the sea's transparent veil, the shared underpinnings of these urban continents come to light, revealing that, notwithstanding their distinct identities, these vast metropolises originate from a singular source. What unfolds is our collective journey, gently prompting contemplation on the profound bonds of our common heritage and the integral unity that threads the tapestry of humanity.''''Eternal Nexus'', the NFT inspired by "The Lift", can be purchased from June 16th by those willing to support UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency’s actions in assisting more than 100 million forcibly displaced people around the world.
