Olivier Anselmo became Deputy Executive Director of Switzerland for UNHCR in January 2024, after having been the Foundation's Chief Operating and Financial Officer since its creation. He gained extensive experience in the humanitarian sector throughout his nine years working with ICRC both in the field - Afghanistan, Haiti, Niger, Senegal, and Sudan- and at the headquarters level. Before joining Switzerland for UNHCR, he served as Head of HR and Administration at DNDi, the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Geneva, and two Master’s degrees in Human Management as well as in Communication and Media studies.
