Go to the movies and support refugees at the same time: that's possible at the Zurich Film Festival ZFF, the second-largest film festival in the German-speaking world. Until 2026, Switzerland for UNHCR is a charity partner of ZFF.

The conflict that broke out in Sudan in April 2023 has already forced over 4 million people to flee their homes to seek safety. Every day, needs on the ground increase and UNHCR works around the clock to meet them.

To celebrate World Refugee Day on June 20, Switzerland for UNHCR, UNHCR’s national partner in Switzerland, invited members of the refugee and host community to participate in an Inside Out activity, in collaboration with the Hospice général, the main public welfare office of the canton of Geneva.

On June 14th, UNHCR released the 2022 Global Trends Report, a landmark publication summarizing the situation of forced displacement throughout the world. As the numbers of people forced to flee their homes due to conflict, violence and persecution continues to rise, we propose a brief overview of the key figures on displacement in 2022.

"Aiming Higher" is the name of the UN Refugee Agency's program to give refugees a chance to continue their education after high school. The ambitious program plans to increase refugees’ access to higher education from 3 to 15% by 2030.
